My name is Alvaro, and I’m a Spanish student at a french school in Spain.
I’ve always had good marks and I feel motivated to improve at school. I’ve participated in many activities that the school proposed us, like maths contests. Plus I’ve been delegate in many projects where I’ve learned team-working and to communicate with people representing their interests.
I’d like to let you know now about my family. My parents are divorced so I spend – together with my sister – a week with each other. In my father’s house we live with my 2 other little sisters and my baby brother. My sister is quite sportive as me, we really love sports!
I’m used to living with people in community, as we are so many people living at home, and the family is organized as a team. I also help at home, as I will also help in the USA, as I believe is usual.
My timetable at school is very tight so I’m quite busy during the week, that’s why I don’t do as many activities as I would like. In my free time I like playing Basket or Soccer in the playground with my friends. Sometimes I go to the playground with my youngest sisters and do some baby-sports with them and have fun. I’d very much like to play sports in the USA. I am ready to try new sports, as well as play the more “traditional” or commons sports in Spain, like soccer, basketball or tennis.
I’m currently playing in the school soccer team, we train Fridays’ nights and play matches during the weekend. Actually I love sports, I’ve done a lot of them like surfing, tennis, rugby, skiing, golf, horse-riding… and of course I’d like to try new ones.
In America I’m looking for a new experience and discovering a new culture, meet people that have different opinions and of course enjoy the year with my host family.
