LETTER FROM Celia

Celia

My name is Celia and I would like you to know me better with this letter. I would like to go to the USA next year because I think is a unique opportunity to know this amazing country. I want to experience everything a typical US teenager does. I hope to make a lot of friends and of course, to learn a lot of English, not just the English that we are taught at school.

I come from a city in Spain. I live in a flat with my parents and my older sister. We are a happy family. My mother works with computers and my father is a tax advisor. My sister is studying psychology. We live in a neighborhood with our grandparents that live next door. Also, our uncles live a few flats above us.

I would describe myself as a sympathetic, sportive, generous and kind person.

I live far away from my friends because our school is in the other side of the city so we can’t hang out so often. I have known them since I was three, because I have always been in the same school. My best friend and I like playing video games together and going skiing. They all say that they are going to miss me very much, but I am not the first one of our group to study abroad for one year, so we are all used to it.

My hobbies include watching anime, reading manga, playing video games, going to the cinema, listening to music, playing the guitar (since this year) and doing various sports, like judo, soccer and ski among others. I love doing judo because I think it is wonderful for training not just physically, also mentally. I usually play soccer with my friends at recess, it is very common in Spain to play soccer.

I got to know this program through my cousin that went to the USA last year and had a once in a life experience. I have always had in mind that it would be great to study in an english-speaking country, especially the United States of America.

Everyday I get up at 7am and I take the school bus at 8am. I arrive a 9. I have lunch at 2pm. The classes finish at 5 and one hour later I arrive at home. I study and do my homework until 8 hours and a half. The I have dinner with my family and I usually go to bed at 11pm.

My favorite subjects are maths and technology. I have always loved maths and I am very interested in everything that has to do with technology.

I looking forward to meeting my foreign family. Thank you for reading my letter.
