| Dear future host family, I am very excited to be part of your family soon and first of all, I would like to thank you for welcoming me into your home. My name is Ben and I’m from West Germany. I live together with my parents and my dog Lucia in a cozy house with a great neighborhood. In my free time I have a variety of different hobbies and interests that I like! I’ve been doing judo since I was 5 and I also love doing theatre. I was in a drama club until 7th grade and then I founded my own drama club which I am still doing to this day. I like cooking a lot and I hope that I can show you some of our traditional German recipes. I always have a great time with my friends whether we go to town or just do something at home. At school I like math and chemistry and in general science related subjects, because another hobby of mine is chemistry. I always found it fascinating how some substances could change with the help of science and I am intrigued to find out more about it in the future. I always loved traveling and was fascinated by the different cultures that I had already visited but since 7th grade I had the idea in the back of my brain that I wanted to do a year abroad. So It’s easy to say that I loved traveling since I was younger. I’m really happy about getting international experiences and connections and would love to sea the amazing culture of America!
