LETTER FROM Frieda

Frieda

Dear future host family, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your family. In this letter, I want to introduce myself to you.

A very important part of me is my family. I live with my mom, her boyfriend, my big brother Robert and my little brother Johann. We also have 2 cats called Max and Anna. My father lives in the next town and I am visiting him sometimes. My family is very busy all day, so we always eat dinner together to talk about our day and spend time together. On weekends, we watch films or play games or go for a walk. That is very important to our family. We also spend time together on our holidays.

About my personality, at the beginning I am rather introverted, but after I get comfortable I get extroverted. I am also curious and want to experience new things. I always try to communicate to solve misunderstandings or problems. I would say I am person who works better in groups than alone. But that’s also something negative about me that I am scared to be alone and left out.

For sports, I play soccer since September 2019 and I am the captain of my team. I also go skiing with my father and brother since I am 2 years old. I also started learning snowboarding 2 years ago. As hobbies, I love to travel and I also travelled alone in my country. I also like to go for a walk or ride my bike. In addition, I like to read or watch a movie. I also like to cook. My favourite food is pasta and I try to find my perfect pasta recipe. I also like “Lyonerpfanne”. It’s a traditional dish from the region where I live and is made with potatoes and a special sausage.

I am very excited for my exchange year, learning about your culture and your daily living. I hope we have a great time together.
