LETTER FROM Haemin

Haemin

Hello host family!

Thank you for volunteering exchange student host and taking time to read my letter.

My name is Haemin, and I live in South Korea with my parents, one brother and one sister. I am 16 years old.

I applied exchange student because I want experience American culture and school life. 2 of my cousins participated exchange student so I l heard a lot about it. I never went abroad so I am a little scared but I’m looking forward to meet new people and do many things together!

My family is vigorous and positive. My parents cheer for me when I say I want doing something or I want challenge. We are a happy family and we have family time together every weekend at my grandparent house.

I go to a public high school near my house. I like school because I can make good memories with my friends. I sometimes make cookies for my friends and teachers which they like a lot. I hope to make cookies for you one day!

I think I am vigorous and social. I get closer to other people easily. My hobby is baking. I like bake the cookies and cake. And I like singing, dancing and listening the music. My interest field is computer coding and teaching people. So I want to become a teacher one day.

I like to travel. I travelled different cities in Korea with my family and experience bungee jumping, paragliding, and snorkeling. I would love to travel with you if I have the chance.

I like nature so I would love to go picnic with you or do secret Santa during Christmas and do activities to get to know each other! I would like to share Korean culture with you such as making Korean traditional food or showing Korean traditional clothes.

Thank you for volunteering as exchange student host. I am happy we can become a family. I hope to make great memories with you!
