Dear host family,

Before I start to tell you about me, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my student’s letter.

My name is Pablo and I am from Spain, a very beautiful country.

I am part of a family of four: my mom, my dad and my older sister. I love being with them playing or just having a good time, I help them a lot in household chores, and I love them.

I spend a lot of time cooking and preparing food for me and my family, usually with my mom who is a great chef. I spend a lot of time playing sports with my dad. Our favorite sports are: soccer, ping pong, basketball, paddle and tennis, But I am open to every type of sport.

One of my favorite things is going to the gym. I enjoy it a lot, especially going with my friends. Also I enjoy hanging out with my friends and going to visit my grandparents, and have a nice time with them.

My favorite sport is soccer and my team is Real Madrid. I enjoy a lot watching soccer and especially playing it.

I want to go to the United States because I’d like to learn more about this diverse and fascinating country and American culture. Since I am an open-minded person, I am looking forward to making new friends, learning at a High School and intensifying my English.

One of my strengths is that I am focused and ambitious on my goals.

I am very grateful that your family welcomes me in your home and helps me to make my wish come true to live for a year in the USA. And of course, I will tell you everything you want to know about Spain and our culture.
