LETTER FROM Richard

Richard

Dear family,

I live in a large city, which is very beautiful and with many surprises and adventures. My country is said to be one of the most beautiful and calm places in the world. I have a large family which is spread all around the world, especially Europe, but also America. I am always happy to spend time with my family, because they are really important to me. What I always love is spending time with my 2 cousins, which are from US, they are older than me, but they are really funny and nice. I also have a pretty young sister, she is still a baby, but It’s always nice to spend time with her too. I often look at her and then realize that I used to be a baby too, I can get pretty emotional when it comes to that.

I would say that I’m pretty caring, because of my younger sister and whenever I can I also help my friends in need. I am pretty ambitious when it comes to school, I always heard teachers saying this about me and I agree. When I got a bad mark from some exam or project and I knew I could’ve done it better I asked my teacher if I can do it again. I always want to be better when It’s possible. Sometimes I can get quite angry when It’s about something really important, but I think I’m not the only one.

My most favorite sport is playing football(soccer) I’ve played it since I was 4 years old and I still have the same passion for this sport. Besides football I also love to play basketball even though I am not that good at it. My favorite food is hamburger and also different kinds of wraps with salad, meat and other things. I don’t really have any special holiday that I like, but if I had to choose then I would say New Years Eve. Our family don’t have any kind of special tradition, we’re doing the same things as other families.

I hope I can gain as much experience as possible, I would love to meet new people and talk with them, it would really help me with my communication in English. I’m really looking forward to seeing how high schools in US work and their education program. I also find American history very interesting, so that’s another great opportunity to know extra info.

Best regards from the Czech republic
