My name is Sofia. I am 16 years old girl from Finland, but I will be 17 years old when I am coming to America. I live with my family which consists of mom, stepfather and my 18 year old big sister. We don’t have any pets yet but we are getting a dog. It is Australian Labradoodle puppy, which doesn’t cause any allergies. I love animals and I can’t wait to get it. I like to spend time with my family and family is one of the most important thing for me. We like to just hangout at home together example playing board games and watching TV. I love travelling and I like to travel with my family. We have been in many countries in Europe. We travelled in our home country a lot during the corona time.

I am kind to everyone, honest and reliable. I am open minded to new things. My personality is calm. I like to explore new things and new people but I also need my own time when I can just relax. I like kids and I get along them well.

I am pretty active person and I like to do sports. My hobbies are gym, running and snowboarding. I go to gym three or four times in a week. I like to go to gym because I can challenge myself and just focus to my workout. In summer I like to go to running. I enjoy snowboarding in winter. I started skiing when i was 8 years old. Then last year I wanted to try snowboarding. Snowboarding is fun and a really nice outdoor hobby and I like to ski with my friends. In my free time I like to hangout with my friends. I have really good relationship with my cousin. We hangout together often. My favourite holiday is Christmas because then is time to spend time with my family and a lot of of snow. I also love Finnish traditional Christmas foods. My favourite foods are sushi, pizza, Mexican food.

I have dreamed about an exchange year in USA about three years now. I want to do an exchange year in USA because I want to experience a whole new culture and American high school. I also want to get more comfortable with speaking English. If it’s possible I would like to do some sports during my exchange year. I look forward to experience American high school events for example homecoming, prom and football games. I hope that I would grow as a person and get more independent.
