LETTER FROM Thi

Thi

My name is Thi or you can call me Terry. From what I’ve been told, I will be staying you during my upcoming high school year. So that I want to write this letter to say hi to your family, as well as introducing myself so that we can get to know each other better.

I’m a student at high school. I consider myself as a good, hard-working student, never misses a school day and have a pretty good grade on most exams. Despite the fact that I may struggle a little bit when I come to a new environment, people, culture, but with your help, I’ll able to overcome those difficulties and adapt with it. And of course, I’ll surely put a lot of effort into studying at school and I won’t make you disappointed for agreeing to take care of me through the International Student home-stay program.

For my personality, I’m quite a shy person when you first met me, but if we get to know each better, you may find me as a very friendly, humorous and considerate person. I’m really into sports and outdoor activities, such as soccer, basketball, running. When I was a kid, I loved to run alot, me and my neighbors used to play chasing game. I’m also participate in many running competition in my city and country. Last year, we’ve won 6 gold medal and 4 silver medal in the city tournament, including my 3 gold and 1 silver medal. Furthermore, I can also know a little bit about cooking, such as traditional Vietnamese food. If you gave me the permission to cook maybe I could show you my cooking skill, and hopefully it taste good enough.

About my family, I was born in a family of four, my mother, my father, my older brother and me. My father works as a business man and he own a shop. My mom, she is a housewife and she take a really good care of our family. And my older brother, he’s now working as an artist at a workshop at the center of the city. Our family really loves and takes of each other.

Finally, I just want to say that I feel really grateful about your acceptance and kindness for letting me to become a part of your family and moreover part of your community. Through this exchange student program, I hope that I can contribute to your family as well as the surrounding community by being a good, kind, friendly person. And thank you again for accepting me as a part of your family.
