Dear host family,

My family is small, but it is full of love. It’s just my mother, my grandmother, my cat Liah, and me. Here in Spain, I live with my mother and my cat, while my grandmother lives in Venezuela. I truly enjoy the beautiful and healthy relationship I have with my mother. Most of the time, we only have each other. We love eating together, shopping, traveling, and even our arguments always end in hugs and forgiveness. My cat also plays a very important role in our daily lives. I talk to my grandmother almost every day, and she is a fundamental pillar in my life. Although she usually comes to visit us, last year we spent Christmas together in Miami, creating unforgettable moments. One of the things I’m most excited about with this experience is that if I graduate there, my grandmother might be able to come see me. That would be very special because, in the end, she’s the one making this exchange possible.

I consider myself a very empathetic person. All the experiences I’ve lived, both good and bad, have made me independent and mature. Even though I try to set boundaries, I often allow the people I care about to overstep them. I’m resourceful and always look for a solution, even in difficult situations. However, I’m quite impatient, which is something I need to work on. While I enjoy solitude and have a calm personality, I also like connecting with others, talking, and listening. My social energy runs out quickly, so I sometimes isolate myself to recharge. I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone, observing my surroundings, and learning from the details. I deeply value communication and mutual respect, and I believe these are essential for creating a harmonious environment in any home.

I’m passionate about experiences that allow me to connect with others and enjoy life. I love exploring new cultures, trying different types of cuisine, and staying active. Some of my favorite hobbies include exercising, dancing, traveling, and spending time outdoors. I love walking along the beach at sunrise, skiing in winter, and stargazing on a clear night. I also enjoy going to the movies, listening to music, and living moments full of excitement and adrenaline, like trying new sports or riding a roller coaster. A family tradition I treasure is traveling at least once a year; discovering new places and creating unforgettable memories with my mother fills me with joy.

I hope to meet wonderful people, discover what the culture is like and adapt to it, improve my English, and have unique experiences.
