Dear host family,

My name is Luna, and I am sixteen years old. I live in a small town in the middle of Germany. I live there with my dad, my mom, and my sister, Lucy. We also have a cat named Fritzi. I like to go on vacation in countries around the world with my family. I like to learn about new cultures and experience interesting things. Furthermore, I also like to bake cookies with my dad on Christmas. I spent a lot of time with my sister. She is 5 years older than me. My favorite activity with her is to listen to music in the car and sing along.

I am a friendly and helpful person who loves to experience amazing, unique things. I can be really funny and happy, but if you need to talk seriously with me, I can also listen to you and give you some good advice. I am very ambitious, and I want to achieve everything I set out to do. That can be good for school or difficult tasks, for example. That also can be annoying, and I can get a little stubborn. If you give me household chores, I’ll do them, but I can sometimes be a bit forgetful. I am good at leading groups, distributing tasks in groups and organizing projects. That’s why I find it a bit difficult to subordinate myself in groups with another leader.

I love music. I have played the piano for 10 years, I also taught myself to play the guitar. I like to sing and to listen to music. Also, one of my hobbies is sports. I love soccer and volleyball. I like to play and watch it. Not only that, but I love animals. Some a little bit more, some less. My favorite animals are cats. I also love dancing. I have been in a dancing club since I was 5 years old. I am also creative, so I like to paint, craft and design things. I am really interested in anatomy. I think it’s very exciting what our body can do and how it works. My favorite food is sushi or pasta, but I eat almost everything except tomatoes. I don’t really like fish either. I like it to eat dinner with the whole family. Also, I spent a lot of time with my friends like going shopping, watching movies or just sit and talk.

I hope to experience a lot of things that I will never forget. I hope I get a great view of the American culture. I hope to meet many friends and people that I will never forget and who will grow close to my heart. Also, I want to get a bit more confident. All in all, I hope to have a great time with lots of new experiences, new friends, new knowledge and lots of fun.
