Dear Host Family,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter. I am excited to introduce myself and share a little about my life, as I am truly grateful for the opportunity to stay with you and become part of your family.

My family is composed by four people. My dad, my mom, me and my little brother, Mattia. Unfortunately, we don’t own pets even though I love them so much. I don’t spend much time with them because during the week I’m in a boarding school from Monday morning to Saturday after school. I kinda like spending time with them like for doing a puzzle with my mom or doing a motorcycle ride with my dad on his motorcycle and my brother with his scooter.

As for me, I would say I am kind, responsible and a little adventurous. My personality is one that likes to help out and tries to be positive and considerate. At the same time, I can be quite introverted to begin with, but once I let my guard down, I enjoy deeper discussions. I am also an active listener and try to be empathetic to all circumstances. One of the reasons why I’m so excited about this experience is because I love meeting new people and learning about other cultures. I am a positive person, someone who loves to help others and always wants to be cheerful.

In my free time I enjoy reading, play cards or board games but I also like outdoor activities. I love to look forward to discovering new traditions and cultures. As for food I really love homemade pizza and pasta with tons of Parmesan. I’m not a fan of chocolate because I prefer jams. Holidays are my favorite periods because I’m more at home but also because every day on Christmas all my family eats lunch at my grandma’s house as a tradition and the day later we eat there again, eating the leftovers from the previous day.

Through this experience, I hope to not only improve my language skills but also gain a deeper understanding of your culture and way of life. I’m excited to become part of your daily routines and create beautiful memories with you.
