Dear Host Family,
I am very excited about the opportunity to be part of your family and experience life in the U.S. I am 15 years old and will be 16 when I arrive. I was born in Germany where I lived for 12 years before moving to Budapest, Hungary in 2021. I live with my parents, my sister, and our Hungarian Vizsla, Betyar, who will be four years old this May. We enjoy spending time together, whether it’s eating, watching movies, or going on trips.
I consider myself to be an outgoing and friendly person who enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I am responsible and independent, but I also appreciate teamwork and cooperation. One of my strengths is my curiosity and willingness to try new things, although I sometimes tend to overthink decisions. I always try to strike a balance between careful planning and spontaneity.
In my free time, I enjoy fencing, soccer, tennis, basketball, and mountain biking. I love being active and trying new experiences. Some of my favorite foods are pizza and pasta. My favorite time of the year is summer break because I get to relax, travel, and spend quality time with friends and family.
I am looking forward to my exchange year because I want to experience a new culture, improve my language skills, and focus on self-improvement. I hope to learn more about American traditions and daily life while sharing a little bit of my own culture. Thank you for considering me as part of your family – I look forward to meeting you and making wonderful memories together!
