Dear Host Family,

My name is Gabriel, I’m 16 years old and I live in a small city in Brazil. I leave with my parents. My mother is a home office worker, and she also takes care of our family and our house as well, so we spend a lot of time together. She supports me and my sister in everything we need. My father works in an Oilfield company. He is a smart person and very dedicated to our family. My old sister called Júlia, she is 16 years old and loves music, meet friends, party and she is very smart at school. I study at a private, catholic, and traditional school called which is focused on the acceptance in good universities.

I love watching TV, hanging out with my friends and sometimes staying on my own. I love to be with my friends talking about everything. We love to go to the movies, to eat. Normally we go to each other’s house to talk, watch some movies and play games. I love animals. We have cats and a little dog.

Our family loves to travel and visit different places. In 2019 my sister and I went to a Summer Camp. I went to an amusement park when I was a little boy. Our last trip was last January, and we went to the waterfall and hydroelectric plant which was amazing.

I go to church with my parents. I go to the gym for fitness training a couple of times during the week. Once a year we go to my grandmother’s house to visit her, my cousins and my uncle. She lives close to where we live. She loves to cook for us and give us a gift. I can´t cook but I´m very helpful in organizing the house, going for walk with the dog, play with the kids

I want to do the exchange program not only to improve my English, but also to know a new culture, make friends and visit nice places. I think it’s an amazing opportunity for me to develop and be more independent. I hope we can have an amazing time together while I’m there.
