Hello host family,

My name is Lucca, I’m 16 years old, and I’m from Argentina. I live with my parents and our two dogs, Ciro and Gaspar. I also have two older sisters who have moved out recently, but we’re very close and love spending time together. As a family, we enjoy traveling, having dinner together, and watching movies. We recently took a trip to Brazil, and last year I had the chance to visit some parts of Europe and Israel to see family who live there.

I would describe myself as friendly, respectful, and curious. I enjoy meeting new people and trying new things, and although I can be a bit shy when speaking English, I’m eager to improve. I try to be responsible and open-minded, and I always look for ways to help others. One of the things I enjoy most is being part of my school’s youth group, where we organize activities for younger students on weekends.

In my free time, I love spending time with friends, going to the gym, and watching series or movies. I also enjoy playing video games and listening to music. I used to play volleyball several times a week, and I still really enjoy sports. Some of my favorite foods are pizza, empanadas, and pasta, and I love celebrating holidays with my family—especially New Year’s and Christmas, which are very lively at home.

I’m very excited about this exchange experience. I hope to learn more about daily life and culture in the U.S., improve my English, and build connections with new people. I’m also looking forward to sharing parts of my culture and traditions. Thank you so much for considering opening your home to me—I truly appreciate it!
