Dear future host family,

I am very thankful that you give me the chance to do my exchange year and be a part of your
family.

My name is Charlotte, and I am 15 years old. During my exchange year, I will be 16 years old. I live in a town in the south of Germany with my mother, my father and my two little sisters Anna and Klara. They are 11 and 13 years old. I like to go on vacation with my family
or play games at home.

I’m in 10th grade at a Catholic high school, and I’m really looking forward to a year at an American high school.

I like to spend my free time with my friends and do fun activities. I also like reading and to crochet and sew. My hobbies are horseback riding and outdoor activities.

My sisters and I have to help with small things around the house. I am very interested in cooking and maybe I can be a help and learn new things in the kitchen.

During my exchange year, I would like to keep my hobby of horseback riding, but I am open to learn and do other activities that you like. I am looking forward to making new friends and trying new things. I am particularly interested in getting to know a new culture. I have a close relationship to my friends, they would say that I am a very open and helpful person. I like to try new things and being a part of your family could give me a lot of insight into living in the US and help me have a great year there.
