Dear Host Family,

My name is Florian, and I am excited about the opportunity to become a part of your family during this exchange experience. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my life at home.

I live with my dad and his girlfriend, along with our dog, who is a big part of the family. My Mom passed away four years ago, and while this was a challenging time, it has made me stronger and closer my loved ones: My sister moved into her own apartment one year ago, but we still keep in touch often. As a family, we enjoy spending time together, whether it’s having meals, going on trips, or simply catching up on each other’s day.

In terms of personality, I would describe myself as friendly, curious and open minded. I enjoy meeting new people and trying out new things. I think some of my key strengths are my ability to adapt to different situations and having a positive attitude. I am also good at working with others as a part of a team, whether it’s during sports or in daily life. On the flip side, I can sometimes be a little shy when I meet a lot of new people, but I quickly adapt to them once I get to know them.

When it comes to my interest, I love sports like soccer and tennis, which I play regularly. I also enjoy gaming during my free time and hanging out with my friends. Spending time outdoors and being active is important to me, but I also like relaxing with a good game or chatting with friends. Some of my favourite foods include: meat, pancakes, pizza and BBQ and I enjoy celebrating holidays like Christmas with a Christmas tree or an advent calendar.

From this exchange experience, I hope to learn more about your culture, traditions, and way of life while sharing my own in return. I’m looking forward to building lifelong memories with your family and becoming a part of your daily life. Thank you so much for presenting your home to me.
