Dear Host Family,
My name is Ginevra, and I recently turned 16. I live in Rome. I come from a loving and traditional family: my mom is a police officer, and my dad is a food seller. I also have a twin sister, Giorgia, who will also spend a year as an exchange student abroad, and a small dog, Bu, who is an important part of our family.
I am very close to all my family, also my grandfather, uncles and mostly to my four female and bigger cousins (Simona, Fabiana, Naomi and the best Rebecca).
I am currently in my third year at a language high school. I study English, French, and Spanish. Since it’s an Esabac program, in my senior year I will take both the Italian state exam and an additional exam in French.
At school my desk mate is also my best friend, Chantal. We spend time together and help each other with our schoolwork. I’d love to have the opportunity to do the same with the friends I’ll make during this experience.
I would describe myself as a sunny, friendly and extrovert person. At first, I may seem a little shy, but it only takes me a little time to feel comfortable and be myself. I am a very organized person and enjoy keeping my space tidy.
I work as an entertainer at children’s parties and as a private tutor to help children study.
I love music. I take singing lessons and sing almost all the time because it makes me feel good. A fun fact about me is that I especially love singing in the car. Music is an important part of my life; in the future, I would like to learn how to play guitar and piano so that I can sing and play with my friends during our reunions on the beach at sunset.
I have practiced many sports over the years, including dance (I love it). I adore the sea, which brings me so much joy. Luckily, during the Summer I get to spend time by the sea with my twin sister Giorgia. I ‘m also a skiing enthusiast and love hitting the slopes on the Alps with my family during Winter breaks.
The sport I have always loved the most, and would like to start again, is horseback riding because I’ve always been a nature and animal lover.
In my free time, I like to go out, bake and travel. I truly love every aspect of traveling and, in fact, I usually travel abroad with my family at least once a year.
I can’t wait to meet new people, have new experiences, and learn from those around me. I am really excited about the opportunity to start this new experience with you.
I hope to meet you soon!
