Dear family,

My name is Vendy, I am 16 years old and I come from a small village in the Czech Republic. I live in quite a big house with my mum, dad and younger sister. I also have two cats, but they live outside, because my parents didn’t want them inside. I get along with my family very well, especially with my mom, because we have a similar sense of humor. I also have quite a good relationship with my sister, but it hasn’t always been that way. We used to argue a lot but that changed with time. It is not like we don’t argue at all but it’s much better. My mum and dad are supportive, kind and honest. I like spending time with them. In the summer we usually go on a vacation to the sea, and in the winter we go skiing. At home, we like to watch movies together or we sometimes play board games.

I consider myself a responsible, funny, and kind person. I always help people when they need it. For example, at school when somebody doesn’t understand the topic and I understand it I explain it to them. I don´t like being late, and it is always me who makes sure that I and my friends aren´t late. I am an introvert, so it takes me a longer time and it’s harder for me to open up and show my true self, it also takes me a bit more time to find new friends. But I always manage to find friends and I spend a lot of time with them. I can be a bit impatient,and I tend to leave things for the last possible minute. Then I stress about it, but I am working on that, so it doesn’t happen that often.

I’ve always loved horses, and I still do. Even though I’m a little allergic to them, I spend almost all of my free time around them. I love to ride and spend time with them but even watching them brings me joy. Riding can sometimes be a bit tiring so I like to read a lot, it’s a great way to forget about everything else. I also like to watch movies, but books are just better. I have a golf course really near my house so I also play golf. I stopped having golf training so I could ride horses more, but I still love to go and play. My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love being at home with my family, eating sweets and watching Christmas movies and of course, I love getting presents. The only bad thing is that Christmas is in winter which means it’s cold. I simply prefer warm weather. My maybe equally favorite part of the year is summer break because we don’t go to school, it is warm all the time and  I have a lot of free time that I can spend with my friends. The food that I love the most is pasta with all kinds of sauces but my favorite is tomato sauce. I also love vegetables, sushi, and my favorite dessert is a chocolate cake.

I hope that I’ll become more independent, that I´ll find new friends that I will have a lot of good time with, and of course that I´ll improve my English.
