LETTER FROM Carlota

Carlota

Dear Host Family,

The first thing I want to say is that family is the most important thing to me. I feel very fortunate to have the family I have, and I can never thank them enough for what they do for me every day of my life.

My father’s name is Armando, and he’s a lawyer. He’s very calm and always tries to guide me to become a better person every day. Sometimes he scolds me, but I know he’s doing it for my own good. My mother’s name is Sofia, and she’s incredibly loving to me. As the years go by and I get older, she’s becoming my best friend, and I know she’ll always be by my side.

Alejandro is my older brother. He’s now at university in Madrid. I get along very well with him, and he always supports me around my parents. He attended high school in San Diego for two years. Martina is the youngest in the house, and I love her very much.

My family also has two very special members: Coco and Harry, my two dogs. Coco is a toy poodle, and Harry is a bullmastiff. I love spending time with them, walking and playing.

Thanks to my parents, I consider myself a very polite person, always open to new experiences. My parents take us on trips whenever they can, because they believe it’s very important for us to learn about other cultures and people. Thanks to them, I’ve been to many countries on almost every continent.

I love doing activities with my family. I try to lead a very healthy lifestyle, including sports and healthy habits. In the winter, we really like skiing, and in the summer, we like going to the beach. And I go to the gym year-round.

When it comes to food, I love trying new things. My favorite dish is pasta, but I’m not restricted to anything. As I said, I love trying new things.

I am very excited and responsible about my next school year in the USA. I can’t describe how much I look forward to the day I arrive in my new home in the USA, while trying to make my life there a motivation for my parents.

Kind Regards

Carlota
