LETTER FROM Sophie

Sophie

Dear Guest Family,

My name is Sophie, I am 14 years old, 15 next year. I live in Germany with my mother, my stepfather and our two cats. In my spare time I like to go out with my friends, sometimes I go to the forest with them, when we don’t go to the forest we usually chill or go to the movies. My life in Germany is pretty simple. I have quite a few friends, but unfortunately not all of my friends live near me. I like to cook and I wouldn’t say I’m the best chef but I’m still good at it and getting better. I’m also pretty good at baking – I enjoy it and the taste never disappoints.

I want to do an exchange year because I find the US very interesting and would love to learn more about the country. It would be wonderful for me because I’ve been to America a few times and it was so interesting and beautiful every time we went. We did a round trip through Texas with my family, and with my aunt, we are going to America again this year, this time for Christmas and New Year.

I am very excited to discover more and see with my own eyes what school is like in another country. I hope to make new friends there too, I would love to meet some people and maybe keep in touch with them after the exchange year. If your family has animals I would be happy to meet them, I love animals except spiders. I hope you have learned a little more about me now and I am looking forward to meeting you for the first time and being warmly welcomed by you.

Yours,

Sophie
