Dear future host family,

first of all, I would like to thank you for choosing for being a part of your family.

My name is Valerie and I am 15 years old. Because my parents are separated, I live with my father and mother for one week each. I have two younger siblings, a brother and a sister who are as annoying as they can be sometimes, but I love them very much. I often meet up with my friends and enjoy spending time with them, and I also often do things with my family like hiking or going to swim. I love reading and discovering new things. My hobby is a bit unusual but I really enjoy it, I do Thai Boxing and I particularly enjoy the adrenaline rush the movements and reflexes of Thai Boxing. You always have to be prepared for something and that makes it so interesting.

My motivation for going to America is to learn and experience what other cultures are like. Of course, the cultures are not very different but it is still nice to learn how other people live. Also the traditional American food, which I would like to learn to cook and of course eat. I like to improve my English, as I would probably like to move to America later in my live. Most of all I am looking forward to meet new people and making new friends and building friendships that maybe even last a lifetime. I am also really excited to go to High School because you always get that must do feelings in the movies. I am also looking forward for new sports such as American Football as rarely have the sport in Germany. I am ready for everything and cool new things that expect me in America and I am really looking forward to it. Finally, I would like to thank you again for giving me the opportunity to take part in this exchange and I hope that we will get along well (but I am actually sure that we will).
