Dear host family,

To begin with, I would like to thank you for reading my letter, and that I can be part of your family, it is an honor for me that thanks to you I can live this experience to the fullest.

I am going to tell you a little bit about my family, so you can get to know them better. My father’s name is Andrés, he is getting on in years, but he is still very well preserved. What I most like to do with my father is undoubtedly play tennis, he loves it. He also loves cheese, on the other hand my mother hates it, her name is Ami, she doesn’t do any sport in particular, but she loves to play her music and exercise in her room. My parents help us a lot with everything, both with school and at home. We are three siblings, and I am the oldest. The best thing that life has given me are my siblings, without a doubt. Andrés is the middle one, he is 12 years old. Andres is a very responsible boy, although sometimes he is a little naughty, I love to play board games with him, or sit and talk with him. Rodrigo is the youngest of the three, he is now 10 years old, although he will be 11 in April. Rodrigo is fun and very naughty, but he knows how to relax and do his homework. I love listening to music with him because we have the same musical style. I like to play tennis and board games with my brothers.

I consider myself a very friendly person, and I love to help others. I am fun, and outgoing, although sometimes I can be a little shy. And yes, I am very quiet. One thing that I think defines me very well is small children, I love them. I could spend hours and hours with them and never get tired. I am a very independent person, because being the older sister, since I was very young, I have done things by myself, and my parents have never had to go after me, for example, I make the bed every morning, I set and clear the table, I put the washing machine, I always prepare my snack, I do my homework and study without them having to tell me anything… There are times when I am unpunctual, because I lose track of time, but it is an aspect of me that I am improving little by little.

I hope you can also enjoy my stay in your home, because one thing I can bring for sure, is joy, I love to smile! I know how to cook some desserts like cupcakes, bizcochos… One thing I would love to teach you is how to cook Spanish food, and not only that, but also our culture, I’m sure you would love it, I also know how to paint and play some instruments! I could give you some concerts hehehehe.

When I was nine years old, I arrived new to a camp that I had never been before and I arrived without knowing anyone, which scared me a little, and without knowing anything about it. But I knew how to adapt perfectly, I made a lot of friends and I had a great time. This was in a camp in Puerto de Santa Maria, I have only traveled abroad once alone, it was with the school, we went to Scotland for nine days. I didn’t have any problems adapting.

My favorite hobby without any doubt is playing tennis, I love it! Apart from playing tennis I play other sports, at school I play volleyball with my friends, I also play paddle tennis and ping pong. An activity that I love to do both alone and in company is drawing, I like it very much. I also like cooking, listening to music, playing sports… I love comedy and romance movies. I listen to all kinds of music, I would love to be a cheerleader! I would call my parents once a week and talk to my friends once in a while, since I am a very independent person.

I could help you in many activities, for example taking the dog for a walk, playing with him, being a good sister and a good daughter, teaching you the Spanish culture… I am very grateful that you are going to welcome me in your family, I would love to be part of it and that together we create a nice bond!
