LETTER FROM Vittoria

Vittoria

Good Morning,

I’m your future temporary daughter, and this is a small picture of me.

My family consists of my dad, my mom, my little brother, and our guinea pig.

I’m a very sociable person, though I might seem a little shy at first. Once I get comfortable, you’ll see that I love talking and sharing stories. I enjoy spending time with people, but I also know how to be independent. Helping others is important to me, and I always try to learn from my mistakes, even if I don’t succeed right away. One thing you should know about me is that I love sleeping in, so I tend to be late for meetings or appointments, but I’m working on being more organized!

I absolutely love animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses. My dream is to become a vet one day because I want to help animals feel better and see how their health improves. My love for animals started when I was little, visiting my grandma’s house every day after school. She had a little dog, and I would take him on walks, cuddle, or just play with him all afternoon.

In my free time, I love listening to music and singing. I’ve been singing since I was a child, and recently I’ve started performing in bigger venues. It’s both exciting and a bit nerve-wracking, but I love being on stage. Music has always been a big part of my life. It’s one of the passions I share with my father, and I like to think of myself as a “mini” version of him.

Another one of my passions is horse riding. I recently started riding again after stopping because of a bad fall. It’s been a year since I restarted, and it’s helped me feel more confident and focused. I also enjoy learning how to care for horses and bond with them beyond just riding. Last summer, I spent two months training and spending time with horses every day. I learned a lot, improved as a rider, and started to understand them more deeply. I now practice twice a week, and my dream is to one day have a horse of my own. My discipline is show jumping, and I’ve always ridden on an English saddle, though I’d love to try a Western one too.

I enjoy spending time with my family. We often play board games or watch series together, and those moments are really special to me. However, I also need a little time to myself sometimes to recharge and be sociable again.

Traveling is another thing I love. I enjoy discovering new cultures, meeting different people, and trying different foods. One of my favorite trips was when my family and I visited China for the first time. We explored beautiful places, and I learned so much about the local culture and language.

When it comes to food, I’m pretty open-minded and eat almost everything. My favorites are Italian food, sushi, and street food. I’ve always been a foodie since I was little.

Through this experience, I hope to improve my English and grow as a person. Living with your family will be a new adventure for me, and I’m excited to learn about your culture, traditions, and way of life. I believe this will help me become more independent, adaptable, and confident.

I can’t wait to meet you and spend time together. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to be part of your family for these six months. See you this winter!
