Dear Host Family,

I am Gabriel, and I am very excited about the opportunity to become part of your family and to live this exchange experience together. I would like to share a little about myself, my family, and what I hope to gain from this journey. I live with my family in an apartment, my family is made by four members, both my parents and my younger brother, Felipe. We are a very close family and we enjoy spending time together, especially on weekends. We often go to shopping centers, try out different restaurants, and discover new places together. These moments strengthen our bond, and I really appreciate how supportive and united my family is.

I consider myself a calm, cheerful, and creative person. I enjoy making people laugh and often try to lift the mood in different situations. I am also resilient and optimistic, always trying to look on the bright side of things. My friends and family would describe me as someone reliable, easygoing, and fun to be around. I have many interests and enjoy spending my time in different ways. I like sports, especially soccer, it’s a very popular sport around my family and around whole Brazil too, also because soccer is a way to socialize and meet up with friends and family to celebrate and have fun. Recently I have started watching football as well, I’ve been really invested on it, but I still dont support any team and I don’t know much about the rules. Another activity that I enjoy doing is going out with my friends, whether it is spending time at the beach, walking around the city, or simply talking and sharing good moments together. As for food, I enjoy trying different and exquisite flavors and cuisines. When it comes to holidays, I really appreciate celebrations like the easter and christmas, given that my whole family usually meets up in these events, since they are moments that bring people together and create meaningful memories. I have some preferences like seafood, shopping malls and outlets and also fast food chains like Chick Fil A and Domino’s Pizza, but overall I am comfortable with almost any situation.

Through this exchange, I hope to learn more about new cultures and share my own as well. Furthermore, I would like to improve my English skills, not only in school but also through daily interactions. And above all, I am looking forward to creating strong bonds with my host family, having enriching experiences, and making new friends that I can carry with me for life.
