Dear host family,

My mother works as a teacher, my father no longer works, although he used to be a teacher at the same school as my mother. They both take really good care of me and my brother and I`m really happy with what we do together as a family. I enjoy spending time with my brother. We have pretty much the same friends and by meeting them, my brother is always with me. For some time now I love hiking with him, I`ve always played football with him in our freetime, and we have been playing tennis together with a coach for 7 years. My brother is like my best friend for me because he understands everything by thinking and feeling the same as me. As a family we often play card or sometimes also board games in the evening, we used to hiking and of course we`re going on vacation (especially Austria and Italy) together. Usually we have lunch and dinner together.

My father. my brother and I are all interested in cars, so sometimes we are at events. About myself, I would say, I`m a very kind person, I make sure that everyone around me is doing well and feeling well but sometimes I leave out myself. I have a lot of friends in school and the solidarity in our grade level is really good so you can meet all of them. I do most of my hobbies and activities with my friends for example: my tennis training is with my brother and my coach, but I really like playing it in my freetime and there are a quite a few people playing the sport. I started working out in the gym because one of my closest friends recommended it to me and showed me how everything works. I am often willing to accept offers that involve doing activities with my friends. In addition to these hobbies, I like to cook, but I have to admit that I do it not that often.

My favourite sport is football by far cause of the big community and the fans in Germany and that most of the people either playing or watching or doing both like me. The food, I always look forward to the most, is the classic Austrian meal ‘Wiener Schnitzel’. I hope that also in America it is known. I also hope that I improve my english, meet new people, experience everyday live with a host family and of course going to an American high school. I’m already very excited to be a part of your family and I’m looking forward to these five months in the USA
