Hello dear host family,

I’m Emil, 14 years old (if I’m 15 with you). My parents have been separated for 2 years but they still get along well. Since then I live with my mom one week and my dad the other week. This has its advantages and disadvantages.

I am very interested in cars, animals, fishing and the youth fire brigade.
I have been in the youth fire brigade since 2020 and have been going to the service every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. since then. In the services we practice for tournaments and help with public events. Once a year we organize a tent camp where we can experience the everyday life of a real firefighter. After serving in the youth fire brigade, I often go fishing with my cousin for several hours, sometimes we catch big fish.

My mother and I have a cat, her name is Hermine and she is a normal house cat and is very playful. We have had her since she was 6 months old. I sometimes go to motorsport events with my dad, when not I’m on the road with him and have a lot of fun with him.

In everyday life, I have breakfast, go to school, have lunch there and do my homework. Monday, Wednesday and Friday I go to darts from 5pm to 6pm and then have dinner with my parents.

My favorite family tradition is eating lasagna every Sunday, lasagna is also my favorite meal. And my favorite holiday is Christmas Eve because the whole family comes together and there is delicious food.

I would like to learn a lot about your culture, the people and the landscape from this year. I hope we can spend a wonderful year together.
