Dear family,

I have wanted to do an exchange year to the US for so long. It seems like so much fun going to the football games, pep rallies and all that. I also look forward to stepping outside of my comfort zone and making new friends.

I have two moms, a brother and a dog. My brother is 21 years old and lives in Amsterdam. Our dog Biko is 10 years old, and I love him very much. I like to walk with him sometimes. I also like shopping with my mom or playing games with them and watching series together. And I also enjoy our days way during school breaks and spending the holidays with my family. For Christmas we went to my mom’s friend and family and that was a lot of fun.

I am very introverted, shy and quiet. I am also very observant. But I am also creative and persevering, and I do not give up easily.

I have been doing rhythmic gym since I was six and I enjoy it a lot. I also like reading English books, mainly romance or coming of age. I love music and going to concerts and shopping, I am so excited to go to Gracie Abrams and Chase Atlantic this year. I enjoy coloring and baking as well.

I love pasta Carbonara it’s my favorite dish; I just really like pasta in general and also pasta pesto. But I love a good steak as well and orzo with chorizo.

My favorite season is summer; I love going on vacation and traveling and tanning at the beach. Last summer we went to France, and I went on a jet ski which was a lot of fun, I have done it before with my mom in Ibiza.

I love Christmas, the lights in the city, the music and the movies, it’s all so cozy. The best Christmas movie to ever exist is definitely Love actually, there is no better.

I hope after this experience I can be more open and to have made friends for al lifetime and definitely a unique experience I will never forget.
