LETTER FROM Helena

Helena

Hello everyone! I’m Helena.

I’m the oldest of four children. I have two sisters named Claudia and Maria, and a brother named Marc. My parents are divorced. We do various activities with them, such as going to sports clubs, going out for walks, organizing family meals, playing volleyball and football, among others. I have two cats named Sheldon and May (my mother named my cat Sheldon afer we watched the show Young Sheldon).

I think I would describe myself as a kind, polite and friendly person. I’m shy person when I don’t know people well, but over time I’ve become more open. I can be quiet or very talkative. I am very stubborn and on a bad day I can be a little impatient. I am slow when it comes to leaving the house, so I always get up much earlier to leave well and calmly. I can be absent-minded sometimes, but with people I am attentive and empathetic.

My favorite activities are reading, listening to music, playing volleyball, going shopping, watching TV shows, and sometimes writing. I read a lot of romance books and some fantasy ones. My favorite foods are Asian food, fruits and pizza. My favorite holiday is Halloween. Every year I dress up as something different and go trick-or-treating either with my family or with my friends.

From the experience of going to United States, I hope to learn about their culture and what life is like there, improve my English skills even more, and meet new people.
