Dear Host Family,

First of all, thank you so much for considering opening your home to me. I am beyond excited about the opportunity to become part of your family and experience life in the United States. I’d like to take this chance to tell you a little bit about myself so you can get to know me better.

My name is Henry, and I am 15 years old. I come from a large and loving family in Germany. I have two younger siblings, Oskar, who is 10 years old, and Leni, who is 3. In addition, I have 13 cousins who all live nearby, so family gatherings are always lively and full of laughter. Spending time with my family is very important to me, and I love how we share moments together, whether it’s a simple dinner or a big celebration.

I would describe myself as an open-minded and cheerful person who loves meeting new people. I genuinely enjoy learning about different cultures and ways of life, which is one of the main reasons I am so excited about this exchange experience. I’ve always found it easy to connect with others and adapt to new situations, and I hope this will help me integrate into your family and community.

In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, skiing, and spending time with my friends. Whether it’s a casual evening chat or an active day outdoors, I love being surrounded by people and sharing good times. I also like trying new activities and stepping out of my comfort zone. I believe that’s how we grow and learn the most.
