Dear future host family,

At first I would like to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to live with you for almost a whole year and to become a part of your family. I am incredibly grateful for that. I appreciate that so much and I know that it is a big responsibility. Unfortunately, I do not know anything about you but I am very excited to meet you. In this letter I would like to tell you about me, my family, my life in Germany and why I want to go to the USA.

My name is Isabelle and I am 16 years old but in USA I will be 17. My family that means my mom Natalie, my dad, my sister, my guinea pig Bounty and our two rabbits are an important point in my life and I spent a lot of time with them.

In my free time I like to cook and bake. I also play tennis, I am dancing standard Latin dances and I like to ski in the winter. Next to sports I am also interested in crocheting, reading, eating my cakes and meeting my friends. We always plan some activities like go to the cinema or go swimming. I am also youth leader in the church and meet with the confirmands every two weeks.

I am currently in the tenth grade at a high school. My favorite subjects are chemistry, sports and geography. I enjoy going to school and it is easy for me to learn new things. In the USA I would like to be part of a school club. I hope there are good chemistry and physics courses.

I like to try new things, find out about different cultures, people and languages. I think that living in the USA for a year will be an awesome experience for me and that it will have a big influence on my life and personality. I am happy that I will soon get the chance to get to know the country and the American way of life.
