LETTER FROM Julia

Julia

Dear future Host Family,

Thank you, that you want to become my host family for the school exchange program.

I am 16 years old and I would like to come to USA in August 2024 till June 2025. I am living with with my parents and my sister, (12 years old) and brother, (11 years old) in the middle west part of Germany. I am going to the High School in my hometown.

My hobbies are playing piano and sport. ln my free time I like to go shopping, going to the cinema with my friends or chilling in our city, which is one of the largest cities closed by my home. At the weekends my family and I often go to shopping centers, go to restaurants or the cinema. Sometimes we go to concerts, when my sister and my father are playing with their orchestra. We also like to visit my brother Adrian’s soccer games of his professional soccer Academy.

I had the idea to go for one year during a school exchange program, because one of my friends completed her school exchange program this summer. I thought that is a great idea.

Since I took part twice in UK and once in Malta in holiday program at an English school, I

have already experience to travel alone abroad and to live in a host family. There I found some nice friends from other countries who are still my friends. This year in October I will join again the English school on Malta for 2 weeks. I like to get know other countries and cultures and practise my English. So I decided to go the USA for one year. I would like to find new friends and to learn more about the American life and schools. ln January 20241 will graduate my school internship at an international telecommunication company.

I hope that you will invite me and we will enjoy my school exchange year in the USA.

Yours sincerely,

Julia
