LETTER FROM Liesa

Liesa

Dear future host family,

I am Liesa Marie, but please just call me Liesa. I come from a small village in Germany and I live in a family of five, which consists of my mother, my father, my two younger siblings and me. A little bit about my character: I am a little bit shy and I need some time to come out of myself, but after that I am communicative.

My family also include our dog, a young border collie called Winnie. I go with Winnie every day in the evening for a walk, but sometimes also in the morning, and my mother make mostly the training with Winnie. All in all, I can say that I love dogs and horses so much, and because of that I would be very happy if there was a dog in my host family.

My interests are reading and also sometimes drawing, my hobby is riding. I go horse riding once a week at school and two to three times a week in the stable.

I also have three best friends, I always see them at school. Every week we meet up outside of school to do something together. For example, we go shopping in the next bigger city, or we go to the cinema and watch a movie or meet up with our dogs on the beach and go for a walk together.

My decision to go abroad was made after an information event at school about going abroad. I had always wanted to go abroad. So I thought that an experience abroad during my school years would be just the thing for me, and I can not wait until it starts!

I’m already really looking forward to getting to know and to see a new culture and also new people and maybe discovering new hobbies. I can say for that, that I will be grateful to any host family which takes me in for the duration of my staying and that I will also integrate well. Because I know that it is not a matter of course to take a stranger into his family and home for almost a year, so I just want to say thank you in advance!

Warm regards,

Liesa
