Dear Host Family,
I want to start by expressing my heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to read my letter. My name is Linda and I am 16 years old.
I am truly excited about the chance to become a part of your family, even if just for a little while.
I currently live in Slovakia with my family. Our house is in the middle of the city and in distance of only 10 minutes on foot to my school. But when its raining my father is so nice to take us to school by car. I truly admire my parents for their unwavering support and encouragement. They have always taught me the value of kindness and hard work. My younger sister Lori, brings so much joy into my life, and I love being a role model for her. And our wonderful dog, Dante. He’s a big part of our family, and I have a lot of love for him.
I hope to create similar bonds with your family and share wonderful moments together.
This exchange program has always been my dream, and I am eager for you to get to know me and enjoy this experience together. We have always enjoyed traveling and have lived in different countries, which has fueled my desire to explore new cultures and experiences. I believe that this experience will not only enhance my education but also help me grow as an individual.
I consider myself an optimistic, easygoing, and energetic person. I have a strong sense of empathy, which helps me connect with others and build meaningful relationships. My flexibility and adaptability will help me adjust to a new environment and embrace the challenges of living in a different country.
While I strive to be the best version of myself, I recognize that I can be a bit perfectionistic at times. This can lead to unnecessary stress when I set high expectations for myself. However, I have learned to manage this by focusing on progress rather than perfection and allowing myself to celebrate small achievements along the way.
As for my favorite foods, I absolutely love pasta and sushi! When it comes to holidays, Christmas holds a special place in my heart; it’s such a magical time spent with loved ones.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, though I must admit I am not the best singer! Throughout my childhood, I was active in sports such as tennis, ballet, volleyball, and I even had some success in gymnastics. I also love discovering new places and have engaged in poetry recitation, which has been a rewarding experience for me.
Thank you once again for opening your home to me. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and I truly look forward to creating beautiful memories together.
With warmest regards,
Linda
