Dear Host Family,
I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Lorenzo, and I’m really excited to stay with you during my time in the USA. I live with my mom, Viviane, my stepdad, Fabiano, and I have two siblings: my 14-year-old brother, Murilo, and my 2-year-old sister, Elisa. We’re a close family, and I really enjoy hanging out with them—whether it’s going out to eat, watching movies, going to the mall, or just traveling together. I also have a male Shiba Inu dog named Dino, who’s a bit shy but super sweet. He likes to chill by himself, but he always enjoys spending time with me. In my free time, I love exploring new places, and I’m really into learning about different cultures, which is one of the reasons I’m so pumped about staying with you. I can’t wait to meet you all and experience life in your country. I’m also looking forward to getting to know you better!
I’d say I’m a friendly, responsible, and curious person. I really enjoy meeting new people, and I’m excited to connect with you. I’m a hard worker, and I always try my best to reach my goals, whether it’s at school or in other areas of life. I’m also a good listener and try to be there for others when they need help. I can be a little shy at first, especially in new situations, but I try to push through and stay open to things. While I love spending time with others, I also enjoy some quiet time to recharge. I’m always looking to learn and grow, and I’m really excited to do that with you!
When it comes to activities, I’m pretty active. I love going to the gym, playing soccer, and hanging out with my friends. I always try to get everyone together for fun stuff, like organizing a soccer game or even a video game tournament at my house—it’s always a good time. I also enjoy spending time with my family, whether it’s watching movies, going to the mall, or just relaxing. Some of my favorite foods are meat, mashed potatoes, rice, pizza, and pasta. I should mention that I can be a little picky when it comes to trying new foods, but I’m definitely up for trying new dishes during my stay with you! I love traveling and discovering new places, and I always look forward to family holidays, especially Christmas, which is super important to us. We have special traditions that make it a really meaningful time. These moments with my family are always something I really cherish, and I’m excited to share some of them with you while I’m there.
I’m really looking forward to staying with a host family because I think it’ll be an amazing chance to get immersed in a new culture and experience life in the USA. I’m excited to improve my English skills, not just through lessons, but by talking to all of you in everyday situations. I hope to get a better understanding of American life, make some lifelong friends, and grow as a person by stepping out of my comfort zone. I believe living with a host family will help me become more independent, flexible, and open-minded. Most of all, I’m excited to create awesome memories with you and learn from the experiences we’ll share.
