Dear host family,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Lucía, I’m a teenage girl who is 15 years old. I would describe me as a very nice, joyful, calm person. I love horse riding; in fact, I earn some titles. On the other hand, I really like languages that’s why I’m fluent in English and I’m also learning German. Sometimes, when I’m with my little cousins playing, they always ask me to role-play as an English teacher. Besides, some of my favorite hobbies are surfing and other water sports like scuba diving or sailing to feel strong emotions. But I’m into winter sports as well because I like spending time with my family skiing or contemplating the amazing landscapes covered by white snow. Spending time with my friends is another hobby that I have, especially when going to the cinema, to the mall or even if we are just yapping. Lastly, I adore cooking, more specifically with my grandmother. She is locked on Spanish food but I’m trying too hard to open her mind with different flavors from around the world and that’s why I would love to travel to learn about different cultures and to meet new people.

An important part of me is my family which is formed of my father, my mother and my little brother. Firstly, my dad is a very kind and familiar person who loves to spend time with the four of us. He also enjoys doing barbecues, photography and travelling. Next there is my mother, the heart of the family. She is a strong woman that is willing to listen to others and give the best advice and her hobbies are shopping, reading and doing sports. Lastly, I have a little brother that loves any type of sport: golf, skate, basketball…He is a very talented kid, and I adore doing leisure activities with him and with our dog Lola. Those are moments that I wouldn’t change for anything. In conclusion, my family is a great team where each of us bring something unique. I contribute a lot to my family, but I think I would be able to bring happiness, love and unforgettable moments to your family as well.

To finish with, I expect to gain knowledge about your country and to obtain memorable experiences. I would like to explore different parts of your country, to grow as a person and to reach a higher lever of English.
