Dear host family,

First of all, I would like to thank you for welcoming me into your family. My name is Luize, I am from Latvia and I am 16 years old. I like to play volleyball, do pottery and sing in choir, I also like to spend time with my friends and travel. My favourite food is sushi and my least favourite is buckwheat. I would describe myself friendly, trustworthy, helpful, kind, understanding, sensitive, communicative and funny. My dream is to travel the whole world and experience other countries cultures.

I live with my mom and I have three brothers. All my brothers are already grownups and have their own families, so they don’t live with us. Every year me and my mom take road trips to our neighbour countries. Sometimes we take a flight to Norway and visit my brother. Also I have a cat, her name is Bucite and she is 1 year old but my favourite animal is dog.

In my free time I like to listen to music, watch movies, serials and musicals such as “Hamilton” or “Mamma Mia”. I also like to go out with my friends and go to volleyball practice. My friends are like my second family especially my childhood best friend. Our families are very close to each other, and we celebrate holidays together. My childhood best friend is two years older than me and lives in another city, but that doesn’t disturb our friendship, we meet every weekends and do something fun.

From USA I expect meeting new people and making new friends, I expect to make lifelong memories, get to know American culture and see new places. Get a second family and a home on the other side of the world that I can always come back to.
