Hi, my name is Natiprada. My nickname is Dada. My family consists of five members: my father, mother, an older brother who is 17 years old, and 16-year-old twins—my brother and me. My family has been running an agricultural business for many years, and we take great pride in our work.
I have been interested in making desserts like cookies and cakes because I love sharing them with my family, and I find the process really enjoyable. Some desserts I have made include strawberry shortcake, red velvet cake, and butter cake. For cookies, I have tried making soft cookies, which take a long time to prepare because they involve detailed processes. Through this, I have improved my cooking skills and developed concentration.
In my free time, I often draw pictures of flowers. I find their shapes, colors, and forms fascinating—I really like flowers. The type of flower I frequently draw is Chaba (in Thai), which is called a shoeblack plant in English. Drawing flowers allows me to spend time with myself, which I enjoy because it allows me to reflect and listen to my inner voice. I also listen to music and like all kinds, such as pop and classical.
For sports, I enjoy playing golf because it allows me to spend quality time with my family. We often play at a golf course near my house. Golf is very beneficial, especially when it comes to planning and analysis, as we need to strategize well to win. I sometimes go swimming and play badminton in my leisure time. This also benefits me academically because badminton is part of my Physical Education curriculum at school. Moreover, I was once a basketball player for my team’s color on sports days, and I am very proud to have been part of the team that won the competition. Winning requires nothing but lots of practice, patience, and strength.
Speaking of music, I am capable of playing the guitar, inspired by my favorite guitarist, Brian May from Queen. I find it challenging to memorize all the chords, but this is a testament to my determination and patience. Playing the guitar makes me feel both pressured and relaxed at the same time—it’s a mix of emotions.
My family and I have seven dogs at home. They are Chihuahuas and Pomeranians. Playing with them is very relaxing and helps reduce stress. Having these furry friends has taught me the importance of responsibility because we must take care of them properly. I believe that both humans and animals deserve good care and decent treatment.
Regarding my travel experiences, I have been to several countries, but the one that impressed me the most is Japan. My trips to Japan have inspired me to learn Japanese. I have been studying it for about a year and have found Kanji characters difficult to remember and write. However, through a lot of practice, I hope to be able to communicate fluently in Japanese one day.
The reason I want to be an exchange student in America is the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world, as America is a melting pot of cultures. This would also be a great chance for me to improve my English skills. Another reason might sound a little bit funny, but it is truly one of my motivations—I would love to visit Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Thank you for taking the time to read my essay. Please take care of yourself and hope to see you soon.
