Dear future host family,

I hope you are doing well. Meanwhile, I’d like to tell you a bit about my life.

I have a very close-knit family of mom, dad and me. We love and always support each other. We have a white fluffy cat. She is very playful and kind. We spend a lot of time together going out to the cinema or a cafe, watching an ice-hockey game, traveling or just walking about the city.

If you ask about my character, I think I am very kind, non-confrontational and I am always ready to give a hand. My strengths are that I always believe in myself and carry responsibility for myself. I have a good sense of humor. I have no weaknesses. I really love football (soccer), it’s my main passion in life. I also like hanging out with my friends. I enjoy playing video games.

Speaking about my favorite food, these are spaghetti, tacos, chicken soup, meat with potatoes, pizza and burgers. I like vegetables, too. My favorite holiday is the New Year. There is loads of snow in my home city and we always have a white New Year. Our family tradition is going to the ballet ‘The Nutcracker’ and having dinner together. At the weekends we go to our country house or invite some friends of family. That’s great to get together and have fun!

I expect a lot of positive emotions from my trip to the USA. I hope to improve my English, make new friends, get to know American culture and traditions, and introduce you to mine, too. To tell you the truth, I don’t have any preferences. It’s like a no-lose lottery when I am happy with everything I win.
