Dear host family,

Thank you in advance for accepting me into your family for a whole year. My name is Sebastian, I am currently 15 years old (but 16 when I arrive) and in this letter I would like to tell you something about my life in Germany.

I live together with my parents, my little brother Daniel and our dog Luna in an apartment in a big city in Germany. There are living around 1 million people. My mother works as a musician at church. My father works in a big authority, the Federal Network Agency.

I go to the High School near my home. All my friends also go there.
I know all my friends from school. After school, we often meet to chill or to go outside.

Sometimes we go out to eat something, kebab or burger for example. In my free time, I like to go to the gym with a friend 3-5 times a week and I would like to do it in the US too. I also watch my diet a bit. I used to go climbing with my brother once a week. Sometimes I also like to cook things such as pancakes for example.

Going abroad was a pretty random idea. I only heard about it once from a friend and spontaneously decided to do it. I look forward to get to know the American life, meet new people and try the typical food. Maybe I’ll find a new passion I didn’t know about before. I’m open to new things!
