Dear future host family,

My name is Swane and I live in a small town with my parents, my two brothers (Wim, 14 years old and Jad, 4 years old). I have a big wolf-dog (Nobody) and two cats (tic and tac). I love playing modeling clay with my little brother and going sledding with my dog because there is a lot of snow in my town.

I am a caring and empathetic person, always eager to make others feel welcome and comfortable. I am a good listener and offer support whenever it’s needed. Above all, I believe that kindness and respect are the foundations of any meaningful connection. However, one of my weaknesses is not being organized enough, but I am working on that.

During my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, reading, watching series, cooking, doing gymnastics or playing the piano, but most of all, I love traveling ! I have been to several countries an I have always loved it.

I love italian, japanese and american food but I also like testing new dishes. My favorite holiday is Christmas, mostly because of the decorations and the atmosphere, but also because of the “Christmas spirit” : being with your family and friends, giving and receiving presents and having a lot of fun ! Our tradition with my family is to sing a song called “O guenel” while flambing the pudding. This is my favorite tradition !

By going to the United State (for the first time), I hope to meet a lot of people and make friends. I also want to discover the american culture and traditions. I think this experience will make me gain in autonomie and will open me to diversity. I have been dreaming about this from a long time and I am about to make this dream come true which will be my greatest accomplishment.

I am open to any kind of placement with kids or not, I will be very happy to live in any kind of city because I am sure that it will be an amazing experience and I will be very happy no matter where I am !
