LETTER FROM Teerisara

Teerisara

Dear host family,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. My name is Teerisara but you can call me “Tess or Tessa” which is the shortened version or “Fasai” which is my nickname. I’m 16 years old, almost 17. I’m an energetic. I like going out, meeting new people and being such a social person but I also enjoy being alone and spending time with myself. I think I am a funny person which always make people around me laughing and I also an adaptable person so if you accept me to be a member of your family, I promise that you’re going to be happy. I like playing badminton, swimming and ice skating. I’m really interested in baking but I’ve never tried it yet so I’m looking forward to do it. My hobbies are listening to music, watching movies, sometimes I play electric guitar because I used to learn it and I also like shopping. My favorite foods are Pad kraprow Gai Kaidow (It’s Thai basil chicken with fried egg.) and seafood. I quite like Year-end which has both Christmas and New year’s because the weather will be good and my family will get together, it’s the best time of the year.
My family has four members, there are my father, my mother, my younger brother and me. My father is a lawyer, he’s a reasonable man. My mother is the one who takes care of me and my brother, she’s a kind and diligent person. My brother is four years younger than me, he’s a good kid I’m really close to him. I always spend time with my family on the weekends, we always do activities together like shopping, swimming, dancing and eating. We also go on a vacation every semester break whether it’s beaches , mountains and waterfalls.

I really expect that when I’m on this program, I’ll learn to live on my own and grow up to be the better version of myself. I hope that in ten months I’ll gain a lot of new experience, make some new friends, learn about American cultures and get to know myself better. For now, I’m not really sure about what I want to be but I’m interested in dental so I want to find myself there too. Even though my English isn’t very good right now but I’m sure that I’ll improve a lot and it’ll definitely good for me.

I am genuinely grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to the adventure that awaits us. I am more than happy to engage in open communication and ensure that we make the most of this cultural exchange.

Thank you for opening your hearts and home to me. I eagerly await the day when I can meet you in person and start this incredible journey together.

Sincerely,

Teerisara
