LETTER FROM Tina

Tina

Hello, my future host family, my name is Tina and first of all, I would like to thank you in advance for considering to host me as your exchange student. Your individual and future exchange student will thank you for becoming one of the most important chapters in their, but also your lifes.

As I already said, my name is Tina and I was born in Germany but my parents are from Vietnam.I have two elder sisters, my eldest sister’s name is Thao and she will be 32 this year and the younger one’s name is Cindy but she’s only 20 this year. Even if I do not have any younger siblings, I still get along with kids very well.

I am currently living together with my mom, Cindy and her boyfriend Long and last but not least my dog named Blasta. At home, we are speaking German and Vietnamese, but mostly Vietnamese. Here, in my hometown, Germany, I do not have specific hobbies but I adore spending time with my family, especially with my sister and of course with my friends. Additionally, I love to go out with my friends on some weekends and doing activities , for instance playing beach volleyball, badminton, billards or just going to a diner and talk for hours. Usually, I help my eldest sister Thao out in her restaurant on Saturdays because my family and I put a lot of worth in helping each other out and living in harmony.

My favorite subjects in school are French and English because I enjoy improving my skills even though I am not the best. Therefore I am incredibly glad for having an opportunity to make my dreams come true, hopefully with your support. As a kid, I always wanted to do an exchange year but I never thought of my dreams coming true until I just felt the need to take the chance I will never get in another life time. I am looking forward to experience new things, such as watching the sunset on the other side of the world, making new friends in a totally different language, grow together with people I did not know they existed a few months ago or just let things come to me as they were meant to be. Naturally, it is also important to get to know your culture and life, as well to know what I actually like and enjoy.

Because of that, I would appreciate you to be yourself/yourselves and show me things you enjoy doing as family or friends.

All of this were the things I wanted to tell you about me in the first place.

Thank you again for considering me and perhaps we will meet soon.

Take care and see you soon!
