Dear host family,
I come from a small, loving family. My dad is really passionate about fishing and just loves being near the water, while my mum enjoys the fresh air and spending time outdoors. We all love to spend time together in nature when we can.
Although I’m an only child, I have two pets who are like family to me. My cat, Ghost, is a Ragdoll, and my dog, Coco, is a Chihuahua. They both keep me company and bring so much joy to my life.
Since I’m an only child, I really enjoy spending time with my friends and trying new activities. <3
My grandparents live nearby, so I’m lucky to have them close. My grandma stays in a senior residence, but I make sure to visit her often. I also have a cousin who lives in Andalucía. She’s younger than me, but we get along really well. Another cousin, who lives in Girona, is someone I see quite often, and we share an amazing bond.
Spending time with my family usually means being outdoors or just sharing stories. I love catching up with my cousins, especially when we all get together—whether in Andalucía, Girona, or at home. It’s always a lot of fun, and I really cherish those moments.
I’d describe myself as someone with a lot of energy and an adventurous spirit. I love music, drawing, and spending time with my friends. I’m always up for an adventure, whether it’s skating, skiing, going on road trips, or just being near the sea. There’s something about dressing up to go somewhere and trying new things that really excites me. I also enjoy the quieter side of life, like relaxing and baking.
Music is definitely one of the things that best describes me. My favorite band is Chase Atlantic, but I also love bands like Nirvana, Pierce the Veil, Korn, Arctic Monkeys, Deftones, and The Neighbourhood. I like singers like Odetari, TVGirl, Steve Lacy, Eminem, Tupac, Artemis, Girl in Red, The Weeknd, and Lana Del Rey. As you can see, my music taste is pretty varied, but I really love it.
I’ve been skiing since I was 3 years old, and it’s my passion—I absolutely love it. I’ve also done gymnastics since I was a kid, but recently, I decided to start skating.
When it comes to my strengths, I’d say I’m calm, adaptable, and easy to talk to. I’m a good listener, but I can be a bit of a yapper myself. On the other hand, I do have some weaknesses. Cooking isn’t my strongest suit, and while I’m generally tidy, I can be a little messy at times. I’m not the most organized person overall, though I do keep things in order where it matters. I can also be a bit lazy sometimes, and while I’m always honest, I sometimes struggle with the more mundane tasks like cleaning and organizing.
I’m excited about spending a year in the U.S. with a host family because it’s such a great opportunity to grow, learn, and meet new people. I look forward to experiencing American culture, building new friendships, and improving my communication skills. I’m eager to step outside my comfort zone, try new things, and become more independent. Overall, I hope this experience will help me become more adaptable and create lasting memories. I love challenging myself and trying new things <3
I’m hoping to be placed with a family that's natural and welcoming. I enjoy being in a positive, supportive environment where I can learn from others and also contribute. I’d love to be part of a family that encourages adventure and new experiences. I’m excited to help out with everyday life and look forward to being involved in whatever way I can. I’d love to be around people and live new experiences. I'd like a family that's very natural in their environment and that won't act different if I'm around.
Overall, I’m excited for the chance to step outside my comfort zone, embrace new experiences, and grow through this incredible adventure. I can’t wait to connect with my host family and make the most of every moment.
