LETTER FROM Viktoria

Viktoria

My dear future host family,

I am the oldest child in my family and I have two younger siblings: my brother Alan and my sister Antonia. Then there’s my mom and dad. My dad isn’t my biological father, he’s my step dad but that doesn’t matter because he’s the only dad I’ve ever had. My mom is currently on maternity leave, but aside that she’s a social worker. My dad is working in Austria as a scaffolder for a company. Then we have a female dog, she’s a Rottweiler and is named Paris.

I am very outgoing and I like to meet new people. I like to learn new skills and learn interesting facts. Sometimes I just say random facts out of the blue. But if you get to know me you’ll find out that I can be really loud sometimes but that’s just because I get too excited. I like to prepare but am also spontaneous and open to new ideas. I like animals like I mentioned I have a dog but I love horses, cows, sheep etc. Don’t like insects though.

My favorite food is a traditional Czech meal called “svickova na smetane”, and crepes with Nutella. Favorite holiday is either my birthday or Christmas and my favorite family tradition is Christmas dinner. I really love travelling and seeing new places all around the world (at least one day it will be all around the world). We travel as a family to different countries here in Europe, but we also solo travel with my mom. I like reading and watching movies. In winter I like to ice-skate or ski. This winter I want to get better at snowboarding because I started learning how to snowboard last winter.

I definitely wouldn’t mind if I am placed somewhere on a ranch. I would help with everything because in the future I would like to own a ranch and have horses and other animals there.

Like I mentioned, I love travelling so that’s a big plus because then I can tick off USA as a country that I visited and explored. I really hope that my English gets better because in the future I want to either live and work in an English speaking country or just work using the language. I definitely want to find new friends and then keep in contact with them and my future host family because when I make good and strong connections they stay for life.

I wish you a great day and thank you for opening your home to me!

Best regards,

Viktoria
