“Rockin Around the Christmas Tree”

Seven ICES exchange students from Brazil, Finland, Italy, Spain and Germany recently participated in the Weihnachts Parade in Boerne, TX. The theme was Rockin Around the Christmas Tree. The students were decorated in battery powered tiny Christmas lights and Santa hats and handed out candy canes while walking in the parade.

The Weihnachts Parade is a long standing Boerne Christmas tradition. 2018 was the 32nd anniversary of the parade. Up to 100 lit entries travel Main Street and each float is required to play Christmas music. The parade is always on the first Saturday of December.

Two ICES host families joined their students in the parade and a great time was had by all.
